Tronnes, Milton E. age 78 of Mpls. MN was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 29, 1928 with a twinkle in his eye that never left him. He peacefully passed December 6, 2006 surrounded by loving family. Milton was a WWII US Navy Veteran who spent the last 10 years of his life at the MN State Veterans Home. He had many interests and hobbies and was an avid sports fan, especially the MN Twins. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends for his kind hearted good nature, his sense of humor and his loving generosity. Preceded in death by parents, Edwin & Marie and sister, Myrna Nelson. Survived by sister, Evelyn (Elmer) Salvog of San Diego, CA.; nieces, Pamela (Brian) Murray of San Diego, CA, Paula (Ray) Brown of Santa Rosa, CA, Kristen (Keith) Wilson of Little Rock, AR, & Kerri Sue Nelson of Kansas City, MO; nephew, Bruce (Kathi) Salvog of Palm Desert, CA and Bend, OR; grandnephews, Kevin Murray, Benjamin (Jill) Murray and their son, Davis & Paul Wilson and many cousins. Service Monday 11:30AM at MN VETERAN'S HOME CHAPEL OF PEACE, 5101 Minnehaha Ave. So. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior. Memorials may be sent to Lake Nokomis Lutheran Church. Our heartfelt thanks to Pastor Carl Westby for his years of faithful visits and his kindness to Milton. Also, our deep gratitude is extended to the staff of the Veteran's Home who were a "second family" to Milton.
