Miriam Ann (nee Ellinger)
Age 90, of Oakdale, MN, formerly of Fargo, ND, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2017. Preceded in death by husband, Sherman. She will be sadly missed by children, George (Eleen) Fortner and Ann (Jeff) Rosenthal; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Melissa) Fortner, Danielle Fortner, Erin (Brian) Howe, Michael (Rachael Hillman) Rosenthal, and Adam (Victoria) Rosenthal; great-grandchildren, Isaac, Elijah, Lucas and Norah.
Miriam accompanied her husband Sherman to U.S. Navy duty stations at New York City and Guam, Marianas Islands during the Korean War and also accompanied him to many occupational locations with Chevrolet Motor Division, General Motors Corporation in Fredericksburg, VA, Washington D.C., Baltimore, MD, Detroit, MI, Minneapolis, MN, Phoenix, AZ and Fargo, ND from 1950 until his retirement in 1987.
Memorial service Saturday, June 17, 2017, 12:00 P.M. at OAK MEADOWS SENIOR LIVING, 8131 - 4th Street North, Oakdale. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to Oak Meadows Senior Living or Health Partners Hospice.
