Treasured husband, father, grandpa, friend.
Passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on June 29, 2022, with his beloved wife and children at his side.

His absence will be deeply felt by those who survive him: wife of 41 years, Jody; children Cliff (Ashley), Levi (Merlita), Courtney (Jason) Nelson, Kent (Melissa); grandsons Blake, Brody, Blair, Lance, Shane, Breck, and one more baby boy on the way; siblings Cindy (Denny) Ollom, Mark (Anna), Candy (Steve) Barthe, Debbie (Brian) Nickell, Drake (Donna), Suzy (Pat) O’Brien; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Joyce.

Monty spent over 40 years working at Schroeder Dairy. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, looking for agates, and spotting all kinds of nature. He especially loved all his grandsons and cheered them on from the sidelines of their various sporting events. Monty and Jody loved hosting their family at the cabin on Lone Lake where they all enjoyed many pontoon rides, catching fish, bonfires, games, and spending time together.

Memorial service will be 11:00am Wednesday, July 6, at ROSEVILLE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1215 Roselawn Avenue West, with visitation beginning at 9:30. Luncheon will follow the service.
Private family interment at Roselawn Cemetery.
