Morton Cravath

d. January 12, 2009

Cravath, Morton A.

Proud To Have Served Our Country As A U.S. Navy Seabee In WWII.

Carpenter's Mate, Second Class, 127th Naval Const. Batt.

Born January 14, 1914 The strength of a man is measured by his love for his family. Mort had the strength of ten men and left his loving family to join his beloved wife Mae, January 12, 2009

Mort is survived by his brother Cal, his caring children, Sharon and Sherwood Pomeroy; his adoring grandchildren, Shari, Greg, Shawn and Tracy; his great-grandchildren Cole and Ian and those close to him as friends and extended family.

More than just the empty feeling left after the passing of a loved one, the rich stories of a man who lived a long and interesting life will be sorely missed. Although never tiring of his tales of a Seabee island hoping the Pacific, a boy riding a baby buggy down the hill of the family farm or simple times of fishing with family, the realization comes that there were still so many stories yet to be heard. We take comfort that he is now exactly where he wanted to be-in the loving arms of his wife Toots.
