Nancy Jo Butler, 74, died peacefully on February 6, 2013. She is survived by her husband Richard, son Richard Butler, Jr. (Kelley) Indianapolis, IN, son Patrick Butler (Mary), Minneapolis, MN, son Steven Butler (Allison), Eagan, MN, daughter Laurie Klinkhammer (John), Eau Claire, WI, daughter Aran Jackson (Minter) Vicenza, Italy, daughter Lynn Daleiden (Lee), Mendota Heights, MN, and many grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews.
Nancy was born in Louisville, Kentucky and grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. She graduated from Regina High School in Cincinnati, Class of 1956, and she attended Barat College in Chicago where she studied history. She married Richard Butler in 1959.
Nancy loved baseball and the Cincinnati Reds continued to be her team even after the family moved to Minnesota in 1978. She was active at St. Michael's Church in Stillwater and was a long-time member of the choir. Nancy loved to travel, play bridge, and quilt. She was an accomplished knitter and an avid reader. Most of all, she loved her family and adored her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be at 10:00 am and a funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 12th at St. Michael's Church in Stillwater, MN. A reception lunch will follow the mass.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the St. Michael's Church Building Fund.
