Nicole ReNae Lund (Campbell) was born March 11, 1977 in Neenah, Wisconsin to Patricia (White) Eitland and David Dean Campbell. She died July 22, 2016. She was a resident of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. She is survived by her daughter, Kharis Lund; her mother, Patricia (Marlin) Eitland; her father David Campbell; and her sisters, Lisa (Paul) Jacobson and Kristi (Alex) Giannini.
As a child Nicole lived in West Africa, South Africa, and Slovenia with her family on missionary assignments. In adulthood she lived in Stillwater, Minnesota and St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. The birth of her daughter encouraged her to research her Native American and European roots, and she bonded with many others who shared similar backgrounds. She worked as a nursing assistant, staffing coordinator, health unit coordinator. She completed a certificate in Health Unit Coordinating from Century Community College in White Bear Lake, MN. She also completed certification in massage therapy from the Sister Rosalind Gefre School, and worked most recently as the Lead Massage Therapist for Massage Envy in Hudson.
Nicole created beauty all around her through artistic creations like paintings, drawings, jewelry making, poetry, photography, and many handcrafts. She loved taking walks, relaxing in natural environments, and observing creatures of nature. She is most remembered for her contagious, joy-filled laugh, honesty, smile, discernment of character; her free and strong spirit, artistic nature, the grace she showed to all around her, her triumph through life's trials.
Most of all her, Nicole was characterized by an unshakeable love for her daughter, Kharis, and a deep desire to provide her the fullest life possible. Nicole also took on projects that would benefit others - most recently constructing a neighborhood bookshare and knitting blankets for her neighbors. In addition, she and her daughter were continuously working on artistic projects together.
A celebration of Nicole's life will be Friday, July 29, 2016, 1:00 P.M. at ROCKPOINT CHURCH, Highway 36 and Keats Avenue, Lake Elmo with visitation beginning at 11:30 A.M. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Kharis Lund Trust Account, F&M Bank, 845 East Cty Rd E., Vadnais Heights, MN 55127.
