Nikalaus Tatro

Nikalaus Tatro, 46, of Bayport, MN passed away due to natural causes on Thursday, January 6, 2022, while on vacation in Colorado.

Nik was born and grew up in Madelia, MN. He achieved his BA in Psychology and MS in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wisconsin – Stout. Nik has lived in the Bayport area for the past 15 years with his family and worked for the State of MN as a Program Director at the Lino Lakes Correctional Facility.

Nik was a loving and devoted husband and father as well as a great friend to many. He enjoyed several outdoor hobbies including snowboarding, biking, and fishing.

Nik will be deeply missed by his wife of 21 years, Jenn; children, Noah, Gretta, and Brynn; parents, Steve and Janet; brother, Christopher (Tom Kim); nieces, Addison and Sloane; other family, friends, and his dogs.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kendra who passed away from Leukemia in 2019.
