ADE, Noreen E.
Noreen Elizabeth (Silva) Ade, 97, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her daughter, Ellen on October 5, 2013. She was born June 19, 1916 in Bloomfield, CT. Noreen passed on wonderful memories of her parents, Francisco da Silva "Frank Silver" and Honora (nee) Connors while growing up on the family farm in Avon, CT, Mountainview Farm. Noreen led an active life, working full time until the age of 82 and traveling to Ireland several times. She was very proud of her dual citizenship with Ireland. She also came to love the cold Minnesota winters after moving in with her daughter in 1998. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ade; three sisters, Mary Silva, Anne Segar and Josephine Keenan; and four brothers John, Harry, Francis, and Alfred. She was also preceded by her beloved sister-in-law, Ellen M. Ade. She leaves two brothers Joseph Silver and Robert Silva; one sister Teresa Peebles and one sister-in-law Theresa Silver. Noreen also leaves behind her loving daughters, Ellen Ade and Anita Finnegan. Services will be held Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Saint Jude of the Lake, 700 Mahtomedi Avenue, Mahtomedi, MN 55115 at 11:00 am and followed by a gathering of remembrance at the church.
