Services for Norma Jean Schultz, age 85, of Stillwater, will be Saturday, 3:00P.M. at OUR SAVIOR'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1616 West Olive Street, Stillwater with visitation one hour prior to the service at church.
Norma Jean passed away Sunday morning, February 13, 2011 at Lakeview Hospital. She was born August 5, 1925 in Clifton, Illinois, the daughter of Frank and Reba Davis.
She married Charles A Schultz after both graduating from Illinois State University with degrees in education. She ended up teaching Junior High math for 24 years at Matteson Junior High school and in total at retirement (1986) taught 37 years. During this time she also earned a master's degree from Roosevelt University (Chicago) and served in many organizations including the Matteson library board. Teaching ran deep in her soul, to give the joy of knowledge and to see others achieve their dreams was what she lived for.
Norma Jean is preceded in death by husband, Charles; parents, Frank and Reba Davis and brother, Richard Davis. Survived by sons, Steven (Deborah) and Kurt; daughter, Mary Beth (Mark Merrill); grandchildren, Christopher, Carolyn and Kevin Schultz.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Young Life, Stillwater. Arrangements with Bradshaw, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater, MN 55082. 651-439-5511.
