Retired Lutheran Pastor of Stillwater, age 72


Pastor Leonard James Nadeau passed away peacefully on December 19, 2010. Survived by Dr. Janice (Winchester) Nadeau his wife of 52 years; daughter Laurinda Nadeau, sons Michael (wife Amy), Mark (wife Margarita); son-in-law C. Brian Wetherby; honorary daughter Pastor Valerie Brown; grandchildren Bonnie, Devan and Brian Wetherby, Brandon Stevens, Maggie and Tommy Waller, Emily Brown, Valery Jusys, and Alexander Nadeau; his mother Yvonne Nadeau; siblings Armand J. Nadeau II (wife Sue), Betty Lou Whipple (husband Don), Sylvia Heath (husband Cliff), Paul Nadeau (wife Evelyn), David Nadeau and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his daughter Cindy Nadeau Wetherby, brother Gary Nadeau and Father Armand J. Nadeau. Leonard served five years in the U.S. Air Force. He taught high school English in Rutland Vermont for 14 years. He served as a pastor at Shepherd of the Hills, Shoreview MN, Trinity Lutheran Stillwater MN and Eau Clair, Grantsburg, Stockholm and Balsam Lake WI. Len's passions included ball room dancing, cooking, story and joke telling, books and movies, games, playing piano and writing poetry.
