Paul E. Carlson

Born on August 18, 1946, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Ed and Margaret Carlson, passed away peacefully at home in Stillwater, Minnesota, on January 13, 2025, at the age of 78, after a courageous two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Paul graduated from Stillwater High School in 1964 and while in high school earned the Eagle Scout badge from the Boy Scouts of America. Soon after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He honorably served his country for 13 months while stationed on Guam. He graduated from the University of Minnesota and worked at 3M for 24 years. His next career was as an IT consultant until retirement. 

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Margaret Carlson, and his sister Carol. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol; his two children, Todd and Tracy (Michael); and his cherished grandchildren, Elin and Andrew.

Paul’s life was defined by his love for family and an enduring strength that inspired those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, January 17, 2025 from 11am-1pm at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater. Private interment Hazelwood Cemetery.
