Paul Michael Lovick

Loving partner, father and grandfather, devoted friend, master tool salesman and weekend rock star. Passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at age 67.

Survived by partner of 25 years Marj Rogers, daughter Jocelyn and grandson Diego, son Sam (Tabitha), brother Dave (Sandy), sister-in-law Mary, and many relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by parents Norman and Muriel, sister Karen Ryan and her husband Pat, and brother Tom (Mary).  

Paul grew up in Maplewood, MN.  After high school he served in the Air Force based in Texas, and when he returned settled into a career in sales.  He and the children’s mother Michelle chose White Bear Lake to raise their young family, and Paul lived in White Bear Lake until his death.

Through his work as a salesman supplying construction supplies and tools to contractors, Paul made many good friends and saved many a foreman’s day by dropping what he was doing to rush the needed items to the job site.   

Playing guitar was a thread of joy and accomplishment throughout Paul’s life. He performed around the eastern metro and Wisconsin, earning a reputation as a skilled (if sometimes overly meticulous) guitarist.  Paul’s steadfast community of “band” friends continued to support him after the stroke he suffered in 2013.

Paul was also an avid golfer.   As with most things that captivated Paul, he worked hard to be the best he could be.  Spending time with friends on the course was something he really enjoyed.  

Paul is loved and will be missed deeply by the many people he touched.

A gathering of friends and family to celebrate Paul's life will be held at Bradshaw Funeral Home, 4600 Greenhaven Dr, on Thursday, June 20th from 4-6 p.m. with a time of sharing at 5:15.  Memorials to the Minnesota Stroke Association and Children’s Hospital Minnesota preferred.
