Peggy Selander

Peggy Selander, nAC.e Morley, age 61 of White Bear Lake. Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at home after a brave battle with brain cancer on 11/24/2018. Peggy was born in St. Paul and graduated from St. Bernard's High School, class of 1975. She earned her Radiologic Technician degree from Century College. She worked for Gillette Children's Hospital and St. Croix/Twin City Orthopedics. Peggy had a passion for painting. She was a self-taught award winning artist. Her brilliant ability to enrich each painting with color, emotion, and fine detail show the personal connection she had with each and every piece. Family was closest to her heart and she loved spending time with them at home or at the cabin in northern Minnesota. Peggy loved to travel with her husband Mike whether they were on roadtrips to their favorite band landmarks or to Isla Mujeras, Mexico. Her faith was another pillar of her life, and she was a member of Virginia St. Church. Peggy found God in all things beautiful. She had a joyous, compasionate and fun-loving soul. All who met her felt a connection to her. Peggy is preceded in death by her son, Tim; and parents, James and Madeline Morley. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Mike; children, Jessica (Travis) Rehfeld, Britt (Chad) Locken; daughter in law, Kristin Selander; grandchildren, Jacob and Allison Rehfeld, Ingrid and Eloise Selander, Calvin, Jorie, and Graham Locken; siblings, Mary (Mike) Gaida, Pat (Al) Meyers, Jim (Connie) Morley, and Jeanne (Jim) Gerlach; dear friends, Kat LeRoy and Connie Spear; and many other loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 1st, 6:00 PM with a Gathering of Family and Friends 4:00-6:00 PM, all at BRADSHAW, 4600 Greenhaven Drive at Highway 96 (one mile West of 35E), White Bear Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
