Black, Peter Michael, age 76, of Stillwater, a loving husband, father and grandfather passed away at the Naples Community Hospital from complications of lung cancer on January 24, 2004 in Naples, FL. Peter was born March 7th, 1928 in Oshkosh, WI, the son of the Late Leo and Jane Black. He was raised in Wausau, WI. He is preceded in death by his brother, William and infant gaughter, Mary Katherine. He is survived by his loving wife of over 55 years, Carloe; daughters, Jamie Young, Mendota Heights, Patty Peyton (John), Hartland, WI and Mary Blattie (Jay), Minneapolis; son Tom (Cheryl), Mendota Heights; nine grandchildern, Stephanie, Laura, Elizabeth, Erin, Carolyn, Michael, Lauren, Peter and Ellie. Peter worked for 3M for 30 years, starting at the Chemolite Plant and retiring as the Vice President of the Traffic Controls Materials Division. Upon his retirement, he and Carole moved to Stillwater. MN where he started his own business. He loved to travel, play golf and bridge and was an avid reader. Hee loved his time in Naples walking and sitting in the sun. He was a devout Catholic and attended daily Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Stillwater. He was also very religious as far as his workouts at the Stillwater Health Spa. But his most precious time was spent with his family. Memorial contributions in his name can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
