Philip Gerlach

Age 92 of Stillwater, MN, Philip passed away peacefully August 25, 2018. Philip served in World War II as a radio operator in the Battle of Iwo Jima. After his service, he worked as a machinist at Andersen Corporation for 36 years. In his life, Philip was a creator of games, toys, and tools. He also built relationships with his neighbors, family, and friends. He will be dearly missed. Philip is survived by his wife of 66 years, Delores; children, David (Beth), Dorothy (Joel) Sherburne, and Diane; sister, Myrtle Spielman; brother, Tom (Ode); grandchildren, Elizabeth, Charles, Timothy (Maialen), Matthew, Adam (Lini) Sherburne, Kelly (Aaron) Peterson, and many other loving family and friends. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 5th, 11:00 AM at BRADSHAW, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater MN. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment at Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery.
