Phyllis Gilbert

Phyllis Ann (Groth) Gilbert, 86, formerly of Bayport, passed away December 12th, 2013 at the Lighthouse of Mahtomedi. She was born November 8, 1927 in Oak Park, MN to Henry and Alice Groth. She graduated from Stillwater High School in 1945. She married George T. Gilbert on August 12, 1950. He passed away in 1999.
She is survived by children, Bob (Linda) Gilbert, John (Peggy Bash) Gilbert, Ann (Pete) Hudson, Don (Cathy) Gilbert, and Lynne (Mark) Finley; grandchildren, Katherine Gilbert (Will) Fetterly, Scott Gilbert, Allison (Ryan) DeHaan, Brad Gilbert, Laura (Ryan Pagel) Gilbert, Alex and Thomas Gilbert, Danny, Matt, Joe, and Kelsey Hudson, Adam, Brian, Callie, and David Gilbert, Alyse and Eric Finley; great-grandchildren Nathan and McKenzie DeHaan, brother Gerald (Barb) Groth, sisters-in-law, Barb Groth and Mildred Gilbert.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter-in-law, Karen Gilbert; sister, Alta (Tooty) Nelson; brothers, Donald and John (Jack) Groth.
A Gathering of Family and Friends Friday, December 13 from 4-8 PM at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard (NW corner of Hwy 36 & Cty Rd 5), Stillwater, with a private family burial at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Lighthouse of Mahtomedi.
