Born in Pelican Rapids, MN to Harry and Mabel Schontiech. Raised in Saint Paul, MN and graduated from Mechanic Arts High School. Mona had three wonderful husbands, Jonathan L. Cohn (died 5-10-67), children, Candis Cohn, and Penny Holforty (Keith Fritsche); Eugene M. Bloom (died 6-24-92), step children, GeorgeAnn (Richard) Probert, Peggy Boden, John Bloom, and Thomas (Melinda) Bloom; and Charles R. Heidelbach (died 6-21-03). Also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mona spent nearly 30 years retired in Florida, returning to Minnesota in 2008 to Saint Andrew's Village in Mahtomedi. She would agree she had a wonderful life. Mona will be dearly missed by family and many friends. Burial at Fort Snelling with Jonathan later this year. Memorials preferred to the Animal Humane Society, 845 Meadow Lane N., Golden Valley MN 55422.
