Died on Thursday, November 1st, 2012 at his home in Palatine, IL. Ray was born in Grand Forks, ND. He was a member of the first graduating class from Blaine High School where he was a football player and wrestling champion. Although he lived much of his adult life in Wisconsin and Illinois, he continued to be a lifelong fan of the Minnesota Twins. He also rarely missed a televised NASCAR race, usually with his beloved rescue dog Sadie by his side. Survived by: daughter Jaclyn Landon (Brian), grandson Devin Landon; son Anthony Gilbert, daughter Alyssa Gilbert; brother Andrew Gilbert (Carol), nephews Jim and Chris Gilbert; brother Richard Marmolejo (Linda), nephews Jason and Jared Marmolejo; nephews Scott and Brian Teal, niece Kristen Teal; nephew Kevin Anderson, niece Kelly Anderson and step-father Harvey Lee McDonald (Venus). Preceded in death by parents Arthur and Bertha Gilbert and sister Alice Marie Johnson. Funeral service: November 17th, Visitation 11:00 Service at 12:00.
