YAGER
Raymond “Ray”
Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, age 83 of St. Paul, passed away August 26, 2019. Ray was unlike any other, a heart truly made of gold. Love that was hard to match. No matter if you were family or a complete stranger, Ray always left a positive impact on those he met. He was a part of the good ole’ boys, truly a genuine person who was respected by all who had the chance to meet him. One of his best traits was being a true listener. He took the time to think about what you said and when he spoke, it was soft and comforting. You just had the feeling that he always had the answer. The world has lost one of its best, and his presence will be missed. He was in the US Marine Corps and lived his life by the Corps values of Honor, Courage and Commitment. He enjoyed retirement by traveling all over the United States, he recently made it to Italy and Hawaii. In recent years Ray had become heartbroken by having to go through the loss of both of his wives. We are truly devastated by his passing, to all who knew him... he said he had an amazing, full life. That we are thankful for. Ray was preceded in death by wives, Marie and Patricia; several siblings including Kenneth George. He will be missed by those who survive him: sons, Robert (Seena) Yager, Ricky (Casie Chatterton) Smith, and Mike Yager; grandchildren, Bill (Jennifer) Denney, John (Samantha) Denney, and Landen Smith; great-grandchildren, Evangeline Rae Denney and Gable Dean Denney; siblings, Jack (Jean) and Billy. Memorial gathering will be 6-8PM Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater. Private family interment at Union Cemetery, Maplewood.
