Renata Elzbieta Warec

Renata Elzbieta Warec, age 67 of Minneapolis, MN passed away peacefully on March 25th, 2024. 

She is survived by her sister Danuta Warec, nephew Joseph Warec, Aunts Krystyna, Kazimiera, Helena, and many cousins in Poland and England, Ann Warec and the Maruska family, her extended family the Langeslays; Peggy, Tasha, Paula, Anthony, Gabrielle, Todd, and extended family cousins, nephews and nieces, and a host of longtime friends and colleagues. 

She is preceded in death by her father and mother Piotr and Wanda, brother Richard, along with her extended "dad" Peter Langeslay. 

Renata worked for the Hyatt Regency Hotel Minneapolis for 37 years. She also worked contract shifts at the Excel Energy Center for many years. She loved her family, music, reading, and animals passionately. Renata has chosen and been accepted to be a donor through LifeSource and will continue to share her gifts to those in need. Renata will be deeply missed by so many of us. In her honor please make a donation to any animal shelter or rescue of your choice, LifeSource, or the American Heart Association. A celebration of life will be planned for early summer 2024. We will remember the glimmer in her beautiful eyes, her laugh, her smile, her humor, and mostly all the love she shared.

My sister Renata's Celebration of Life will be September 22nd 2024, at Dodge Nature Center, from 1-4 PM. Planning a short program about 2 or so. If you have any sweet or funny stories to tell, there will be a memory basket for your written comments if you feel you would like to contribute something but don't feel up to getting in front of people, but you are welcome to do that too! Dodge is an eco friendly nature center with animals, beautiful walking paths that you can stroll through. There is no smoking anywhere on the grounds so if you do, please do so before or after. The Marie Property is where the event will be 1701 Charlton Street, W. St. Paul, MN 55118

Please park in the lot, though you may drop someone off at the door. Children are most certainly welcome, they will love the barn animals and the grounds. If you'd like to go for a cocktail after, The Copperfield is a nice place nearby.
