Died Monday, May 10, 2010 at his home from a recurrence of cancer. He was born to Robert and Loraine Dalzell, November 8, 1946, in Grundy Center, IA, growing up in Brainerd, MN. Rex attended Wartburg College, IA and the University of Minnesota receiving his BS in Biology from the University of Minnesota in 1973. Rex was a senior chemist at 3M, with many patents to his credit. He retired in 2003 after 35 years. Rex was involved with Somerset hockey for nearly 30 years and was a member of the Somerset school board for 12 years. Rex loved to hunt, dance, travel, play sports, spend time with family and friends, and had a tremendous faith in the Lord. Rex is preceded in death by his father, Robert and mother, Loraine. He is survived by his wife, Gail; children, Rex, Jr., Bradley, Ryan (Abby), Colin (Jenny), and Bryan; grandchildren, Josie and Aireanna; sister, Bobbie Debros; brothers, Kent (Connie) and John (Laurie); many nieces and nephews. Memorial service Saturday, 10:00 A.M. at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard (NW corner of Hwy 36 & Co Rd 5), Stillwater. Interment New Richmond Cemetery. Visitation Friday, 5:00-8:00 P.M. and also one hour prior to the service.
