Born in South Stillwater, July 3, 1920. Passed away June 15, 2013, just short of his 93rd birthday. Graduated from Stillwater High School in 1939. Preceded in passing by wife of 64 years, Edna, and parents, Harold and Hazel Carlson. Survived by children, Richard II (Lyne), Candyce Stout, John(Cathe), and Polly; grandchildren, Wendy, Tracy, Richard III, Robert, Lizz, Meredith, and Mitch; great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. Active in the American Legion Post #491 and People's Congregational Church. Dick joined the Army Air Corps (Air Force) in 1942 and retired from the Air Force Reserves with the rank of Major. Dick was employed by Andersen Windows, retiring as Assistant Plant Superintendent in 1981. Our Special thanks go to Boutwells The Gables for their care and kindness. In lieu of memorials, please honor him by remembering Dick through your prayers and with fond memories of his life; or if you prefer, you may donate to the organization of your choice. As per his wishes, a private family service will be conducted honoring Dick's life, followed by interment at Hazelwood Cemetery, Bayport.
