Richard Michael “Rick” Connors, Sr.

Age 72, formerly of Star Prairie, WI, passed away peacefully November 5, 2022 at 2:15pm with family at his side after a two year battle with cancer.

Preceded in death by parents, Richard J. and Delores Connors.

He will be sadly missed by his wife and soulmate of 49 years, Stacey; children, Rick, Jr. (Stefanie), Joe (Holly), and Kelly (Mike) Swenson; grandchildren, Abbi, Bryn, Wyatt, Brock, Jake and Hannah; sisters, Lynda Rode and Lori (Dale) Smith; many nephews, other family and friends.

Rick was a strong-willed Vietnam Veteran Serving in the United States Air Force, but above all he was a proud dad and grandpa, he was our rock and will always be “the man, the myth, the legend.” Rick was an avid hunter and fisherman and a lover of the outdoors.  He enjoyed snowmobiling, travel and attending grandkids sporting events and activities.  After retirement, Rick and Stacey moved to Florida where he especially enjoyed boating and fishing.  Above all, Rick loved spending time with his family and friends.  He will be missed.

A celebration of Rick’s life will be Friday, November 11, 2022 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Gibby’s Lanes 546 W. North Shore Drive, New Richmond, WI.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
