Richard Carlson

Richard Dean Carlson, age 77, passed away on April 17, 2024, in Shoreview, MN.

Richard was born in Minneapolis, MN to Victor Carlson and Ida Carlson.

Richard was awarded the National Newspaper Carrier Award in 1960. He was a member of the 1962-63 St. Paul City Championship Football team at Wilson High School. He graduated from Wilson High School in 1964.

Richard married Linda Gray on November 2, 1968. He worked for the family construction business, Carlson Contracting, eventually running it with his brother, Ken, before going to work for Andersen Cabinets, where he worked for 24 years before retiring in 2008.

Richard loved spending time with his family and friends, researching his genealogy, going fishing, bowling, and watching the Vikings, Wild and Twins.

Richard is survived by wife, Linda; daughters, Jill Seward (Steve) and Lindsey; son, Brad (Stephanie); 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sisters, Betty and Becki.

He is preceded in death by his father, Victor Carlson; mother, Ida Carlson; brother, Ken; and sister, Doris.

Service Wednesday, April 24rd, 11:00 A.M. at SOUTH SHORE TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2480 S Shore Blvd, White Bear Lake, MN with a visitation one hour prior to the service.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, April 23nd, 6-8 P.M. at BRADSHAW, 4600 Greenhaven Dr, White Bear.

Memorial donations can be made in Richard's name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
