Richard Greaves

Beloved son, brother, uncle and friend passed away on January 5, 2018 at the age of 71. Preceded in death by parents, Stanley and Harriet Greaves. Survived by brother, John (Carol); nieces, Patti, Sherry, Ginnifer, Savannah, Josephine, Siselia, Elsie, Ava, Scarlett, Jessica, Jacqueline, Marjane and Katie; nephews, Charles, Travis, James, Ian, Julian and Dillon. Rick enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going on car trips, adventures to Minnehaha Falls, air shows, old military exhibitions and bowling. Rick also shared his appreciation for music and was an accomplished guitarist. Rick joined the Navy in 1966 and was stationed at Point Mugu in California. His final career was as a security screener for the TSA. A wonderful conversationalist, Rick had a knack for retaining a great deal of information on subjects of all sorts, thereby earning him the nickname, the professor. Rick maintained very close friendships, many since grade school and longtime neighbors became very important people in his life. Funeral arrangements to be determined at a later date.
