Dick Koats

Dick passed away in April, 2025 after a short battle with cancer.

He pursued a career in law enforcement for 20 years before becoming a stay at home Dad for his family. His siblings, friends, and family were able to visit to provide support prior to his passing.

He was known for his love of the outdoors and spending time on the water including a new love for deep sea fishing. He found pleasure in grilling, cooking, and trying new recipes with his wife. He also enjoyed supporting charities including research at the University of Minnesota and a program that helps underprivileged youth get their GED and start careers in trades.

Private family gatherings will be held.
