He was born October 6, 1947, in st. Paul, Minnesota.
richard grew up in St. Paul where he enlisted in the United States Army in 1966. Her served one year duty in Vietnam as a forward observer. He was awarded the purple heart along with numerous medals. Richard married Jaynelle (McDonough) on August 21, 1976. He attended college at the University of Minnesota where he graduated in 1976 with a B.S. in Mortuary Science. He worked as a mortician until accepting a job with Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories as a Pharmaceutical Representative. In 1989, his job transferred him and his family to Madison, WI. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
He was very proud of his service in the military, as well as graduating from college. He also enjoyed his two cats, Hailey and Twirpe.
He is survived by his wife Jaynelle of Sun Prairie, daughter Angela of McFarland, son Nicholas of Sun Prairie; brothers, Roger (Annette) of St. Paul, Harold
(Ramona) of Wyoming, Thomas of St. Paul, along with nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother Lois Mackenroth and father Edward Mackenroth.
Visitation will be held held at Bradshaw Funeral and Cremation Services on Thursday, December 18th from 5PM-9PM
at 1078 Rice Street in St. Paul. Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 19th at 11:00AM at St. John's Catholic Church, 977 Fifth St. E., St. Paul. Burial at
Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. The family requests that memorial donations be sent to the Veteran's Hospital or to the National Shrine of St. Jude, Claretian Missionaries in Chicago, Illinois.
