Born 1/20/29 and passed away surrounded by loving family on 9/11/07, after a long battle with dementia and pneumonia. Preceded in death by wife, Elizabeth ?Betty?; mother and step-father, Ellen and Les Fadden; sister, Beverly; brother, John.Survived by children, Andrea Cowell, Michael (Pat), John (Toni), Richard, Jr. ?Rick? (Peggy), Patti (Gerry) Smith, and Melissa ?Missy? (Greg) Busta; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sibling, Barbara (Bob) Jackson; sister-in-law, Kathy Newell; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Dick was a longtime Rice Streeter. In his youth, Dick was an athlete who excelled in diving, gymnastics, golf (which he enjoyed most of his life), and boxing. He was a multiple champion in Golden Gloves and fought as a professional as well- amassing 160 total fights. Thanks to the caring staff at Cerenity Health Care Center-Humboldt. Service Friday, 7:30PM at BRADSHAW 1078 Rice St. at Magnolia. Private Interment. Visitation beginning at 4:00PM until time of service.In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to MN-ND Alzheimer?s Association.
