Richard E. "Dick" Paukert

Age 81 of Stillwater, MN, passed away Tuesday, January 7 after an 18 year battle with non-hodgkins/hodgkins lymphoma. 

Preceded in death by parents, Earl and Helen Paukert; sister, Janette Carlson; and nephew, Don Paukert, Jr. 

Survived by his loving wife, Julianne (Degen) Paukert; children, Rick (Jerusha Thompson), Craig (Jodi Whittier), Libby O'Neil Magnus (Warren), Tim O’Neil; grandchildren, Emily Lodahl, Jackson O’Neil, Bekah Thompson, Tristan Haight; brothers, Don Paukert, Sr. (Sharron), Tom Paukert (Susan); many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Dick grew up in the Rice Street area of St. Paul, was a graduate of Washington HS class of ’61 and proud goalie of the Prexies hockey team. After serving in the Army, he joined 3M Company and retired 38 years later as Intl Marketing Mgr. Dick was a loyal Gopher hockey fan, a faithful member of his golf group, a special friend to Norq, loved trips to New England with Julie and his many road trips. He was dedicated to his family and an exceptional Grampa, who attended their many sporting events. Dick was a “Friend of Bill’s” with 45 years of sobriety helping many others to recover along the way. He was a loyal friend, a good, humble, God loving man. 

Services will be held at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater, MN, on February 10th, 1:00pm visitation, 2:00pm service. A private burial will take place at Ft. Snelling Nat’l Cemetery.
