Born in Atlantic City, New Jersey
Robert joined the Army Air Corps following high school and was stationed on the Tinian Island in the Pacific. Robert retired from Bell Telephone Company after 38 years and moved to Edenton, North Carolina in 1983. He married Grace Peters in 1999 and moved to Williston, Vermont. Robert was very active in his community and church spending countless hours doing volunteer work. Robert is preceded in death by wife of 54 years, Evelyn Fritz; daughter-in-law, Susan; brothers, Samuel, Bill Collinson and sister, Anita. Survived by wife, Grace; son, Robert H., grandchildren, Gregory (Jill Rupar), Laura (Nathan) Gossett; sister, Pauline Back; brother, Joseph and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends. He is also survived by his beloved dog Davy. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 8:00 PM at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 4600 Greenhaven Drive (one mile west of 35E), White Bear with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
