Son of Paul and Eleanor (deceased). Married Frances Amey on June 19, 1948. Survived by loving wife of 55 years and children: sons and spouses, Bob Jr. and Beth, Bill and Sue, John and Chris and Mark Gehrman; daughters and spouses, Janice and Jim Carey, Paulette and Kevin Barrett, Katie Gehrman and friend Donna Hauer; cousins, Hazel, Joyce, Lois and the Amey in-laws; 12 grandchildren, Jim, Joe (Jenny), John, Jessica, Jason, Bob III, Heidi, Kate, Stacy, Alyse, Emily and Louis. Bob was a Johnson High School grad, class of 1938. He served 4 A� years during WWII, served in South Pacific with the 164th Infantry and later trained troops at Fort Ord, CA. After discharge from the Army, Bob did apprenticeship in glass work. He was employed by P.P.G. Industries for 40 plus years and Twin City Glass Co. Bob is a past commander of Anderson-Nelson V.F.W. Post 1635. He was a life long member of Arlington Hills Presbyterian Church. He was a member of 164th Infantry Assoc. When his health allowed, he enjoyed bowling, fishing, casino, cards, breakfast or going for coffee with his friends, who meant a great deal to him. Above all Bob was a loving and loyal husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed. Service Wednesday 11:00AM at BRADSHAW, 1078 Rice Street at Magnolia, St. Paul. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 4:00-8:00PM and one hour prior to the service. Memorials preferred to Arlington Hills Presbyterian Church.
