Beloved husband, dad, and Pappy.
Rob, age 71 of Inver Grove Heights, has ended his journey here on earth April 09, 2018 surrounded by family and is now at home in heaven. Is he fishing, golfing, or cooking for crowds? Is he hugging his folks and old navy friends? Is he throwing the ball for his dogs? Is he developing new combos of spices for rubs and smoked meats? Is he contemplating the best ice cream flavors? Is he throwing jarts with his champ partner? Is he sipping whiskey, talking with God about all those things he wondered in and out of the Bible? Is he worried Kris will starve without his cooking and only eat ice cream and popcorn to survive? Is he smiling at his kids and their spouses knowing they share his quirky humor and stupid jokes? Wondering, did he teach and model enough for them to be strong, faithful, and loving? Is he bursting with pride showing off that grandson to others? Pappy was his favorite title. And the animals - will he worry they're not being cared for - no, Leo makes too much noise for us to forget. Is he sipping coffee by the trailer? Is he teaching someone some building/fixing tricks? Is he hosting nights of fun and games? We know where he is. We just get to imagine what he's doing.
Rob is survived by wife, Kris; children, BJ (Laura) and Cassie (Matt) Daulton; grandson, Beau; and a loving extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 4:30PM followed by a service at 6:30PM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7600 Cahill Ave. E., Inver Grove Heights. Memorials preferred to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Inver Grove Heights.
