Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 21, 2016. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Evangeline M.; children Julie Knuths (Jay); Robert, Jr. (Cyrena); Debra (former son-in-law Robert Kirchoff); and Thomas (Ann); his identical twin brother William H., brothers Carl and Ernest, and sister Trudy; grandchildren Kristian, Karl, Collin, Mira, Madeline, Zachary, Maren, Siri and Elsa; nieces, nephews, relatives, former business colleagues and numerous friends. Attended Washington HS; president of Schroeder Milk Company, a four generation family-owned business, until his retirement in 1997. Bob was a born leader and a voracious reader of history and politics who loved family, flying and later sailing on Lake Superior. He took great pride in his children and grandchildren, nurturing their varied interests with the same passion with which he pursued his own. Visitation Thursday, May 26, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at BRADSHAW, 4600 Greenhaven Dr., White Bear Lake, MN 55127. Funeral service Friday, May 27 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 4000 Linden Street, White Bear Lake, MN 55110, followed by luncheon. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery. Memorials to First Lutheran Church or donor's choice.
