A devoted family man, friend to many and passionate outdoorsman, passed away August 31, 2024 at the age of 64, He leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure, and unwavering loyalty.
An avid outdoorsman, he cherished hunting of any kind, guiding clients on fishing trips on Lake Superior and training the families two dogs (Orla and Festus, both Drahthaars). Bob made countless memories with family and friends that will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Bob was born May 3, 1960 in St. Paul, Minnesota. His childhood established his passion for the outdoors as well as an unbelievable work ethic that he carried with him to his final days.
Bob spent the past 25 years married to the love of his life, Cecily. They shared many of the same hobbies involving the outdoors such as skiing, hunting and spending time with their dogs.
As a father, Bob was a constant source of support and encouragement for his children, helping them with the challenges that life presents.
Professionally, Bob and his brother operated Schurcon Construction for 30 years providing infrastructure solutions to many of the residents of St. Paul and the East Metro.
Bob is preceded in death by his father, Ken Schurhamer.
He will be deeply missed by wife, Cecily; mother, Debbie; son, Steve; daughters, Sara and Staci; his four-legged companions, and countless friends he also considered “family”.
His warmth, enthusiasm, and the joy he found in life will be profoundly missed. Bob’s laughter and willingness to always lend a hand to those in need will remain in our hearts and in the cherished memories of the countless adventures he shared with us all.
