Robert Louis Swenson,
Age 86 of Bayport, formerly of Minneapolis

Passed away peacefully on August 30, 2018. Preceded in death by wife, Arlene, and brother, Jim Swenson. Survived by daughters, Jill Swenson and Barbara (Eric) Nelson; grandchildren, Ben and Emma Nelson; brother, Richard (Jennie) Swenson; sister, Carol (Dick) Ronning; sister-in-law, Audrey Bolton; also extended family members and many friends. Bob had a long and varied career including working for Northwest Airlines in Alaska as a young man, restaurant management, owning and operating Pearson & Swenson Furniture, food service management including 10 years in Saudi Arabia, and restaurant real estate management. Bob enjoyed cooking, needlepointing, golfing, traveling extensively and telling stories. He cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and the children of his church family. Join us for a celebration of his life on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 3 PM at Memorial Lutheran Church, 15730 S Afton Blvd, Afton with visitation one hour prior to the service at church and soup supper to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Memorial Lutheran Church, where a scholarship fund will be established for the youth of the church in Bob's memory.
