She was born in Calion, Ouachita County, Arkansas, raised in Lake Elmo, and lived in Stillwater, Lakeland and Bayport. Preceded in death by her parents, Hamilton A Bird and Effie G Lindblad; children, Billy, Boyd, Beth and Lindsey; sons-in-law, West Houle SR and Steve Hendrickson; brother, Hamilton "Skippy" Bird and his wife Jeanette Bird; brothers and sisters in law; Ed Soller, Bob Dennis, Herman Dornfeld, Swede Olson and Marion Soller; and by loving husband of 61 years, Bill A Mordick. Survived by children, LuAnn Mordick, Laurie Houle, Brad Mordick (Deb), Bruce Mordick, Brian Mordick (Lori Pfeifer), Becky Hendrickson, Julie Filmore and Brenda Day (Dave); grandchildren Jim, West JR, Jennifer, Katie, Andrea, Michael, Christopher, Tyler, Ben, Mark, Scott, Molly, Hannah, Amanda, Matt and Nate; great grandchildren Trystin, Dylan, Sierra, Ryan, Christian, Tanner, Shelby and Kennedy; siblings, Johanne (Wendell), Ronald (Jane), Margot (Bob), Robert (Linda), Nancy, Billy (Joan), Dale and Edward (Alice) and many nieces and nephews. Graduated from Stillwater High School in 1953. After raising their children, she returned to school at Century College to earn her degree as an RN. She was a longtime employee and volunteer at Lakeview Hospital. She received special training in ostomy care and hip fractures, often went to patients home to support their recovery. She was a Washington County Volunteer of the Year and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. A longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, a faithful and determined servant who loved and cherished her family and friends who cared for and about others.
A celebration of Roberta's life will be held at 12:00P.M. Saturday, April 11th at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater (NW corner of Hwy 36 & Cty Rd 5)with visitation beginning at 10:00A.M. Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Stillwater.
