Roger Payne

Born in Washington, D.C., on June 13, 1930, resided in Little Canada, Minnesota for 45 years, passed away on August 4th, 2022.

Roger is survived by his wife of 71 years, MaryAnn Defeyter; daughter, Kathyann Payne-Christianson and Russ; sons, Michael Payne and Brenda, Steve Payne, and Charles Payne; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives.

After 4 years in the Air Force, he was employed in the computer world, retiring from Control Data after 25 years. He loved flying as an active member of the Stanton Soaring Club. He was active and ran Grandma’s Marathons and others while in his 60’s.

He was a Masonic Lodge member for 25 years and belonged to a number of other organizations. His wife and he enjoyed traveling in an RV for many years, and as a regular blood donor he donated blood at each location. Roger enjoyed his last years in his condo in Canabury.

Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
