Roland ?Rod? Swanson
Age 79, of Stillwater. Passed away June 21, surrounded by family, after a two and a half year battle with cancer. Preceded in death by son, David; parents, Herbert and Jess; two brothers and one sister. He will be greatly missed by wife of 58 years, Pat McIntyre; children, Greg (Jeanne), Amy (Mike) Hooley, Daniel, Shari McIntyre; grandchildren, Jim (Leah), Jennie (Jon), Ben, Kate, Joe, Ted, Kevin, Cammie and Evie; great-grandchildren, Kianna, Parker and 4-month old triplets, Elise, Patrick and Kate; sister, Darlene Polzin, and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. Rod enjoyed 23 years of retirement following a lifelong career at Andersen Corporation. He was a World War II Coast Guard Veteran and a member of the Stillwater Country Club. The family would like to thank Lakeview Hospice staff, especially Nancy, Norma, Keri and Tanya. A Gathering to Celebrate Rod?s Life, will be Monday 4-8 PM at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd., (NW corner of Hwy. 36 & Co. 5). In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Lakeview Hospice and Christian Children?s Fund.
