Ronald D. Schmidt

Age 89, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2022. He is survived by his children, Steve(Vicki) Schmidt, Rita(Charles) Ekstedt; grandchildren, Korynn Schmidt, Jason Trollen, Tera(John) Trollen, Chet(Elizabeth) Ekstedt, Lisa(Manny) Trembly, Sherry(Jeremy) Rasmussen, Bryan(Cris) Davis, Rusty(Tamara) Davis; great-grandchildren, Ezra, Eva, Jasper, Jared, Alex, Ashley, Brianne, Cheyanne, Alex, Sawyer, and Jake; Daughter-in-law, Jeannie Davis; nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Ruth; siblings; son, Robert Davis.

Ron was born and raised on a farm with his siblings in Farmington, WI. He left the farm to serve in the Army during the Korean War. When he returned, he met the love of his life, Ruth Soma. They married and settled down in Stillwater, MN where they raised a family. Ron supported his family by working for Andersen Windows for 36 years. He enjoyed car shows, the Minnesota Vikings, the Twins, and outings with family. His kindness and loving heart was felt by everyone he met. He will be greatly missed.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 7th from 12-2 with a time of sharing at 12:30 and a lunch following at 1:00 at Bradshaw, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater. Funeral and private burial will take place at a later date in Wisconsin Dells.
