Ron passed away peacefully in his home after a courageous, four-year battle with cancer. Ron is survived by Lowell Yost, his lifetime partner and companion of 25 years; sisters, Marie Bah, Elbow Lake, MN., Marion (Gary) Haagenson, Paynesville, MN.; sister-in-law, Rita Kruize, Yelm, WA., and several nieces and nephews. Ron is also survived by his partner?s parents, LaMars and Ruth Ann Yost, Walters, MN.; and his partner?s siblings, Debra (Steve) Adix, Alden, MN., Denise (Archie) Kluender, Walters, MN., and Kevin (Ann)Yost, Glen Ellyn, IL, and their children; his two loving dogs, Korky and Fannie. Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Alma and Egbert Kruize of Elbow Lake, MN.; sister, Ethel Nordquist of Elbow Lake, MN.; brother, Arthur Kruize of Yelm, WA. Ron retired in 1977 at the age of 55, after 31 years with Honeywell / Alliant Techsystems where he touched the lives of countless people. Immediately following his retirement, he was engaged as a consultant for Alliant Techsystems/ATK to work at their Janesville, WI production facility. Ron enjoyed meeting people, sharing his many talents, and offering his friendship. He also had a passion for gardening, cooking, and working with his partner on the renovation and construction of several properties. Ron will be forever missed by everyone that had the opportunity to know him. A celebration of Ron?s life will be held on Saturday October 23, 2004 at 2:00 PM at ST. PAUL REFORMATION LUTHERAN CHURCH 100 North Oxford Street. (near Summit and Lexington), St Paul, MN. A Memorial Gathering one hour prior to service at church. As per Ron?s wishes, memorials are preferred to teenage cancer research.
