Passed away on 1-13-25. Survived by wife of 44 years, Debbie; brother, R. David Resch

(Laurie); sister-in-law, Barbara Resch; brother-in-law, Brian Belair (Mary). He was very blessed with nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Ray & Ethel; brothers, Robert "Bobby" and Richard "Dick"; brother-in-law, Paul Belair.

Ron loved family and friends and enjoyed participating in great outdoor activities including sailing on Lake Superior & White Bear Lake, downhill skiing, parachuting and horseback riding in the South Dakota Badlands.

Ron took care of and trained all types of horses and riders as manager of the Winona Saddle & Bridle Club and at North Oaks Stables. Ron graduated from Michigan State University's Farrier Science course. He also served as President, Vice-President, board member or a volunteer of the following: Tri-State Horseman's Association, Minnesota Horse Council, Minnesota Horse Expo (one of the founders), Hennepin County Vo-Tech Horse Care Program, Grant Trail Rangers, Meals on Wheels, Hill Farm Historical Society and in his youth, a volunteer firefighter. Ron also created and taught a horse riding program for the University of Minnesota Extension Program.

Ron and his wife Debbie, were very fortunate over the last 5 decades to meet so many wonderful people through lessons, training, hay rides, carriage rides, horse racing and horse shows.

Funeral Service 12:00pm Thursday, April 3 at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 900 Stillwater Road, Mahtomedi, with visitation one hour prior. Light lunch after service. Private family burial. Memorials preferred to River Valley Riders.

The family thanks the wonderful and caring staff at The Estates at Roseville as they cared for Ron as he struggled with vascular dementia.
