Age 84, of Stillwater
Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 16, 2016. Preceded in death by parents, Ernest and Alyce; sisters, Hila, Betty and Carol; brothers, Clayton and Kenneth. He will be sadly missed by wife and best friend of 61 years, Jean (nee Steffen); children, Dave (Carol), Greg (Sue), Rhonda (Mick) Ruffini, Chris (Sandy) and Steve (Tracy); grandchildren, Brandon, Nicole and Jason Schad, Krista and Joel Ruffini, Lucas and Cole Schad, Skyler and Delaney Schad; many nieces, nephews other family and friends. Ron was a 4 year Navy Veteran during the Korean Conflict. He was a faithful member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and a kind man of gentle humor who loved his family and spending time outdoors. He was employed for 28 years as the plumbing and heating engineer at the Pioneer Building in downtown St. Paul. Special thanks to the staff at the Memorial Care Unit at Boutwells, Lakeview Hospice and the Care Ministry at Our Savior's Lutheran Church for their care and support. A celebration of Ron's life will be Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at OUR SAVIOR'S LUTHERANCHURCH, 1616 Olive Street West, Stillwater. Visitation Friday, October 21, 2016 4:00-7:00 P.M. and also one hour prior to the service ALL AT THE CHURCH. Memorials are preferred to Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
