Malkovich, Rose Hermina (Fischer), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister died peacefully at home in Minneapolis, MN, Saturday night, January 11, 2003. Born at home in St. Cloud, MN on March 27, 1923 to Bernard Fischer and Clara (Jannsen) Fischer. Rose survived the Great Depression and World War II to become a wife and mother. A Rose is said to be God's signature. Mom was. Rose is survived by sisters, Margaret and Elizabeth; sister-in-law, Doris Fischer; brother-in-law, Raymond Forschen; children, Susan, Milan, Debra, Rose, George and Beverly; grandchildren, Jason, Jacqlyn, Russel, Jessica, Celeste, Nicole, Scott, Beverly, April, Charles, Makala, Riley, Stanton, Mariel, McCrea, Clarice, Tamika and Wayne; nieces, Linda, Kathy, Mary, Helen and Grace; nephews, Pat, Kenneth, Edward, James, John, Joseph and Michael. Eagerly greeting Rose in heaven are her husband, Robert; parents, Bernard & Clara (Jannsen); grandchildren, Jennifer and Justin; along with sisters, Olivia and Maria; and brothers, Henry and Bernard; brothers-in-law, George Mins and Wallace Turnball; and daughter-in-law, Debra (Wetzel) Malkovich. Rose retired from Sears in 1988 after many years of dedicated service. Rose was also an auxiliary member of VFW Gopher Post 440. Flowers may fade but fragrances and memories linger. Kindness, unselfishness, perseverance, charity and unconditional love, along with the jewels of her posterity will adorn the crown of Rose's life. Mom, enjoy now the peace you so richly deserve, having fulfilled the measure of your creation. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery with her husband, a decorated WWII Army veteran. Friends may call Wednesday evening, January 15, from 5-8 pm at BRADSHAW (McDIVITT-HAUGE), 3131 Minnehaha Avenue South, as well as 9:30 am Thursday, January 16 at CHURCH OF SAINT ALBERT THE GREAT, E 29th Street & 32nd Avenue South. Mass will begin at 10 am.
