Roy Koester

Services for Roy R. Koester, 83, of Somerset, Wisconsin will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 20th, 2006, at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, located at 14940 62nd Street North, Stillwater, Minnesota. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19th, 2005 at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, located at 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater, Minnesota. There will also be visitation at the Church from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 20th.

Roy passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 15th at home with his family present.

He was born on May 9th, 1922 in St Paul. Roy dearly loved riding his motorcycle, driving his Model A, flying his ultralight and flying model airplanes.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; son, Sam; parents, Henry and Clara; and brother, Norman.

Roy is survived by children, Rev. Larry Koester of Eagleton, Wisconsin; Linda (Charles) Kurth of Hastings, Minnesota; Scott (Kathy) of Stillwater; Darcy of Stacy, Minnesota; Jodi (Leroy) Jansen of Somerset, Wisconsin; Matt (Jeri) of Somerset; grandchildren, Ben, Sam, Becky Kurth; John Koester; Christopher and Heidi Koester; Justin, Brandon and Aaron Jansen; and Tessa, Tyler, Travis, Trever Koester; great-grandchildren, Lonna, Julia and Zachary Jansen and Alexis McKinney; several nieces and nephews.

Memorials are preferred to Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church.
