Roesner, Ruth Marie (Nee: Braun)

Age 76 of Minneapolis

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 1, 2021.

Ruth was a peaceful, courageous, and selfless person. When her kids were growing up, Ruth kept her house open and fun so that many of the neighborhood kids made it their second home. She taught honesty and integrity to all - not necessarily by preaching it, but by living it. She lived by the words “Say what you mean, and mean what you say.” Ruth played a large role in raising her grandchildren as well, and she took pride in that. She loved painting, refinishing woodwork, reading, history, travel, and the outdoors.  Every day she walked miles and miles - usually pushing grandchildren in the cart while looking for good deals and an ice cream treat along the way.  She will be dearly missed.

Ruth is preceded in death by her son, William; parents, William and Ruth; sister, Betty.

She is survived by her sons, James (Mary), Shane (Cynthia); daughter, Rita; grandchildren, Ashley, Tony, Brandon, Shancy, Ray, Anna, Frances, Ruby; great-grandchildren, Wanda, Kayanna, Kaylee, Audrina; sister, Marge; niece, Andrea; nephews, Mark and Keith.
