Ruthie Milker (nee Fisher)

Ruthie Milker passed away at the age of 58 on Thursday April 8th, 2021 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Raised in Middleton, Wisconsin; she attended Middleton high school where she was a cheerleader and played in her high school marching band. Later she received her associates degree in interior design at Madison Area Technical College. She had a very successful career in design and sales. She was loved and admired by everyone that worked with her.

Ruthie met her husband Christian in 1989 in Minneapolis, where she spoke of their immediate connection. Ruthie and Christian were married on May 22nd, 1993. Through 27 years of marriage, they created their beautiful family, took many cross-country road trips, and made visits to family abroad. She was a dedicated Mother that was always present at each of her daughter’s events and activities. She always cheered for her girls the loudest. She was a proud aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. Ruthie remained active throughout her life. She enjoyed going dancing with her husband, gardening, completing puzzles, and spending time with her beloved dog Dexter. Ruthie was very involved in her Church and had unshakeable faith.  Ruthie loved family above all else and leaves a legacy on how important family is.

Preceded in death by parents, Eugene and Veronica; and brother, Tim. Survived by devoted husband, Christian; daughters, Megan, Lauren, and Elizabeth; siblings, Tom (Jan), Peg Fisher-Jullie (Jerry), Debbie Richardson (Kevin), Ted; sister-in-law, Marge Brantmeyer; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and other loving family members and friends.

Visitation Thursday, April 15th at BRADSHAW, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd., Stillwater from 6pm – 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be live streamed on Friday, April 16th at 11am on the following link: https://www.guardian-angels.org/funeral/ . In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to The American Cancer Society in memory of Ruthie.
