In Loving Memory of Ryan William Asmus
It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the untimely passing of Ryan William Asmus, who left us at the age of 43. Ryan departed this world too soon, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and a spirit that touched the lives of all who knew him.
Ryan's heart was as big as his love for the outdoors! He loved being outside and it was even better if it was near water!! He was fortunate to have been around lakes or rivers his whole life! Ryan sure loved to fish, having started at the young age of five. Ryan found solace and fulfillment in nature. His love for Stillwater was palpable, and it was in these serene landscapes that his soul felt most at home.
A true master of all things technical, Ryan had a remarkable ability to fix anything that crossed his path. From engines to computers, his skills knew no bounds. Friends and family would often turn to him with their technical woes, knowing that Ryan's expertise and determination would triumph over any challenge.
Among his many talents, Ryan was a master of the grill. His passion for grilling was not deterred by extreme weather conditions; he embraced the art even in the face of 40 degrees below zero. The sizzle of meat on the grill was music to his ears, a melody that resonated with the same passion he brought to everything he loved.
Speaking of music, Ryan outdid us all with his love for music which was clearly evident in the incredible wall-to-wall stereo system he possessed. So enthralled was he by the beats and rhythms that he occasionally needed a gentle reminder not to wake up the entire neighborhood with his enthusiasm.
Ryan's heart extended beyond humans; he held a deep affection for animals, with dogs being his particular favorites. His kindness and compassion knew no bounds, and his love for these furry companions was a testament to the gentle soul he embodied.
As we mourn the loss of Ryan William Asmus, let us remember the laughter he brought, the problems he solved, and the warmth he shared. May his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration, reminding us to cherish every moment and to live our lives with the same passion and kindness that he did.
Ryan is survived by his daughter, Kathleen Asmus; his mother, Karen Mickelson; his father, Rob Asmus; his brother, Nick Asmus; and his grandmother, Margie Asmus.
