Sharon A. "Sherry" Dornfeld

Age 83, of Stillwater. Preceded in death by parents, Lawrence and Doris Haas; brother, Richard Haas; and step-daughter, Julie Morgan.

Survived by husband, Don; children, Sheryl Wells, Kathy Krier, Tom Wilson and LuAnne Jaskowiak; step-children, Jamie Hyland, Jodie Prax, and Don Dornfeld, Jr.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild; sisters, LaVonne Wirl and Debra Seledic; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Born on October 15, 1941, Sherry's journey began in St. Cloud, Minnesota, but her heart blossomed in Oakdale, where she moved at the age of ten. From a spirited tomboy climbing trees to a dedicated mother raising four children, Sherry approached life with an adventurous spirit and unwavering determination.

In 1974, she married the love of her life, Donald Dornfeld. Together, they founded NuLife Lawn Care, where Sherry's entrepreneurial spirit thrived until their successful retirement in 2011. A devoted member of Christ Lutheran Church in Lake Elmo, Sherry found joy in participating in Bible studies and Cursillo, embodying her faith in all that she did.

Sherry had an extraordinary passion for collecting Nativities, which she loved to share with the community. Through her special presentations, she spread the beauty of her collection and generously gifted pieces to those around her.

Throughout her life, Sherry savored every moment spent with family, be it camping, hiking, or relaxing at their beloved trailer on the Yellow River in Wisconsin. Her love for the outdoors and her family created countless cherished memories.

A celebration of Sherry’s life will be Saturday, January 11, 2025, 11:30 A.M. at Christ Lutheran Church, 11194 – 36th Street North, Lake Elmo with visitation beginning at 10:30 A.M. Private interment Christ Lutheran Cemetery.
