Age 78, passed away peacefully June 24, 2022 in the company of her family after a recent diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Sharon had a warm and welcoming spirit, and was happy to stop and chat with anyone. She and Roger worked together to run their farm. Each day was better than the last once she and Roger met. Together they modeled a life of compassion and caring for others, that was grounded in their faith.
Sharon was a woman with many talents. She was a fabulous cook, baker, gardener, and crafter. She enjoyed having her loved ones over to share a meal. The family often played cards or a dice game. Her children and grandchildren often teased her about things she said. These have turned into wonderful family memories.
Sharon and Roger shared a deep love and devotion to one another. It has been said many times how evident their love is, even by people who just met them. Her family and friends were very important to her. Because she loved on a grand scale, once she welcomed you into her life, she showered you with that love. She made friends easily and devoted time at church helping others. She made a positive impact on so many lives. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Roger; children, Dean Roufs, David (Renae) Roufs, Dale (Stacey) Roufs, Kimberly Groth, Matt (Julie Kestner) Groth; honorary son, Charlie Wamstad; grandchildren, Sara, Bryce; siblings, Shirley (Jim) Fasching, David (Joanne) Fistman, Pat (Marlyce) Fistman, Jerry Fistman, Mary (Brian) Lofgren; sister-in-law, Janice (Dan) Meier; brother-in-law, DeLloyd Burau; many nieces, nephews and friends. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Mardy Fistman; sisters, Diane Burau and Norma Fistman; and sister-in-law Carol Fistman.
