Sharon Marie (Reisdorfer) Soenen passed away September 4, 2016. She was born on June 23, 1958 in Luverne, MN. She was the middle child of 7 to Bob and Dee (Lapic) Reisdorfer. Her family moved to Marshall, MN when she was 3 years old. Her strawberry blonde hair, smile and steady, loving temperament were her trademarks. While active in cheerleading (captain), choir, multiple clubs, and working a part time job, she graduated near the top of her class from Marshall High School in 1976. She attended Mankato State University graduating Summa Cum Laude in 3 years with degrees in business administration and home economics. Sharon married her high school sweetheart, David (Eli) Soenen September 15, 1979 and she accompanied him around the country supporting his 34 year career with 3M. They were just short of their 37th wedding anniversary together. They raised two sons, Jerad and Tony. She was actively engaged in their schooling and many activities and antics including sports mom, Sunday school teacher, classroom parent, fund raiser and TP getaway car co pilot to name a few. Sharon had a gift of developing deep, close relationships with family and friends. She was always willing to help, a trusted counselor, confidante, coordinator and co-conspirator. She had a natural gift for turning any house into a home. She loved to sew and decorate. Her handiwork can be found in the homes of many family and friends. She also loved to design and tend to natural perennial gardens everywhere they lived. Socializing, dinners out, travel and music concerts also kept her busy with Dave and friends. Sharon cared for herself by being active with rigorous physical fitness workouts and preparing healthy meals for herself and her family. After 23 years as an at home mother, Sharon returned to work as an administrative assistant for Edward Jones Offices in Austin, TX and again in MN after Dave and she relocated to Stillwater in 2007. She then worked nearly 5 years as an executive administrative assistant for TCF Bank in Minneapolis until her illness.
